THE IMPORTANCE OF MEDITATION
As many of you know, meditation has been a BIG part of my life since 2014. As I have practiced, educated myself, and guided meditations over the years, I have noticed a decrease in our children's mental health (our society's mental health!). Before the pandemic, I was asked several times if I offered youth classes or family sessions. During the "great pause," I was reminded once again how vital meditation is to stay grounded and unconnected to the chaos that surrounds our lives.
Over the past few months, I have watched anxiety, stress, fear, and doubt rise not only in my household but in EVERY home around the globe! Never before have I been so grateful for my mindfulness knowledge.
We ALL have the power to take our own "pause" when situations around us feel too heavy or uncontrollable.
Meditation can give you the break YOU need, the mental break WE all need. I could bore you with thousands of studies and stats on how meditation can improve your life, but instead, I will leave that up to your own research. I will, however, share how it has changed my life:
assisted in healing post-concussion syndrome and post-traumatic stress disorder
decreased my anxiety and stress
increased my self-confidence
helped me find my authentic voice
taught me skills to assist my children in their stress and anxiety
opened up my third eye to connect with spirits
allowed space for answers to be heard
decreased my reaction time, so I may act consciously
inspired decision making and guided paths I should take
opened doors to new friendships and opportunities
peace of mind
knowing of my power
