Do's and Don'ts of Creating an Online Adoption Profile

I spend a lot of my time reading online adoption profiles and as I was writing this blog post I found myself teary up several times. It's been over seventeen years since I placed my baby girl for adoption, but the emotions and actions of that day are still fresh as can be in my mind. 

I want to look at every adoptive parent in the eye and say, "do you know how hard it is to pick one couple to share your flesh and blood with?" I'm not sure it's possible for someone to fathom the weight of that decision unless you have experienced it yourself. What I can do is try to explain to you how important it is to be authentic and honest in your online adoption profiles! And remind you who you are writing this profile for... birth parents.
